Hitler Youth Kreissieger 1939 Badge in Bronze. There are some areas of enamel repair on this one. A Hitler Youth Kreis (Local) Level National Trade Competition Victors Badge 1939 by A.G. Tham of Gablonz a.N.. The Reichsberufswettkampf (National Trade Competition) was an annual vocational competition held in Nazi Germany as part of the Gleichschaltung of German society. It is constructed out of a die struck multi-piece bronze base that has been bronze washed and contains multicolored enamel work all behind a protective lacquer coating. The obverse depicts a German national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a cogwheel, that has a Hitler Youth diamond logo above it, in its talons. This is above a smooth pearl white field that reads “Kreissieger 1939” (Locally Victorious 1939) and is surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath. The concave full back reverse shows an embossed maker mark which reads: “A.G. Tham Gablonz a.N.”.
